Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester to join our team, working on the Telco Billing system utilizing the Netcracker product suite. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the highest level of quality and performance in our Telco Billing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry standard tools and frameworks.Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into automated tests.Ensure automation frameworks are scalable, maintainable, and reusable. Continuously enhance and optimize test automation infrastructure and processes.
Test Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for automation testing as well as manual testing.Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and ensure system functionality and performance.Execute manual testing.Perform regression testing and ensure new features and bug fixes do not adversely affect the existing functionalities.Maintain and update test cases in line with ongoing changes and new features.
Defect Management:
Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools like Jira.Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Verify defect fixes through re execution of test scripts.
Continuous Improvement:
Continuously improve test coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness of automated testing.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in test automation and apply them as appropriate.Provide recommendations for improvements to the automation framework and testing process.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross functional teams including developers, business analysts, and other testers.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand ups, and retrospectives.Provide regular updates on test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in test automation, specifically in Telco Billing systems.Hands on experience with Netcracker products and their billing solutions. Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and programming languages
Skills and Competencies:
Thorough understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar. Experience with version control systems like Git. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
