Job Title: SRE SME/Architect

Job Summary: We’re seeking an experienced SRE to deliver insights from massive-scale data in real time. Someone who has fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint, and who enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health

  • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement

  • Gather and analyze metrics from applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding

  • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous gating checks and release procedures

  • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts

  • Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

  • Ability to program using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, JavaScript

  • Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement

  • 3+ years’ experience as SRE SME

  • 3+ years of experience with each of the following – at least one tool per category:

• Cloud Infrastructure (Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Azure / etc.)

• Bug tracking (JIRA / Bugzilla / YouTrack / etc.)

• Continuous Deployment (concourse / GitHub Actions / Spinnaker / etc.)

• CDK or Cloud formation

• Metrics & Tracing (Grafana / Prometheus /Dynatrace/ Jaeger / OpenTelemetry / OpenTracing / etc.)

• Monitoring platform or tool experience

• Splunk or ELK experience
