Director AMS COMPETENCY LEAD
Job description
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Competency Head. This senior-level position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in application and infrastructure maintenance, exceptional people skills, stakeholder management, excellent communication abilities, and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with the ability to build consensus and lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Competency Leadership:
- Lead and manage a high-performance competency team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services in application and infrastructure maintenance.
- Define and implement strategic initiatives to enhance competency capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess hands-on experience in application and infrastructure maintenance, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and ensure the competency team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Collaborate with other departments to align competency goals with overall organizational objectives.
- People Skills:
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the competency team.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates on competency performance and initiatives.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the successful execution of projects within the competency, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the overall success of projects.
- Consensus Building:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to build consensus on strategic initiatives.
- Drive collaboration and cooperation among different departments and teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Overall experience of 15+ years with at least 5 years in leadership role
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a focus on application and infrastructure maintenance and support.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering successful outcomes.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team toward achieving common goals.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion.
- Candidate should be open to travel within and outside India, as required
