Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer adept in leveraging the ServiceNow platform to enhance IT Service Management processes, configure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), manage Incidents, Problems, Changes, Service Catalog, Flow Designer, and proficiently integrate with third-party systems.
Responsibilities:
1. ServiceNow Development: Architect, design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and modules focusing on ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
2. Configuration Management Database (CMDB): Implement and maintain the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, relationships, and dependencies between Configuration Items (CIs) to support efficient IT asset management and service relationships.
3. ITSM Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of ITSM methodologies and best practices to improve and automate Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes within ServiceNow.
4. Service Catalog Development: Design, customize, and enhance the Service Catalog, ensuring its effectiveness in streamlining service requests and delivery.
5. Flow Designer and Automation: Utilize ServiceNow Flow Designer to automate and orchestrate workflows, optimizing efficiency and reducing manual efforts across various processes.
6. 3rd Party Integrations: Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems and applications using REST, SOAP, and other web service APIs to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability.
7. Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot platform-related issues, and provide timely resolutions.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and reporting dashboards to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. ServiceNow Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience (X+ years) working with the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on ITSM modules and configurations.
2. CMDB Management: Profound understanding and practical experience in configuring and maintaining the CMDB in ServiceNow.
3. ITSM Processes: Strong expertise in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management within the ServiceNow environment.
4. Service Catalog Customization: Proven track record in designing and customizing Service Catalog items and workflows.
5. Flow Designer Proficiency: Experience in utilizing ServiceNow Flow Designer to automate processes and workflows.
6. 3rd Party Integrations: Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow with diverse third-party systems and applications using REST, SOAP, and web service APIs.
7. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies for ServiceNow customization and development.
8. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Certifications: (an added advantage)
1. ServiceNow certifications related to ITSM, CMDB, or specific modules (e.g., Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM or CMDB).
2. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project management within ServiceNow.
