BA - Product Owner

Job description

The Business Analyst possesses profound knowledge in their areas of expertise in Capital Markets, FX Trade Processing, Settlements, Cash Management and Payments domains and helps organizations achieve their business goals by providing in-depth analysis of the requirement and problem statement for technology to recommend solutions that align with their strategic objectives. They should be able to assess requirements feasibility, proposed technology solution, its implementation, and its interaction with the existing systems and improve the cost-effectiveness of the project/product they are involved in.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and decompose complex business requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis and collaborate with technical resources on solution proposals.
  • Create functional specifications and prepare wireframes/flowcharts.
  • Communicate with the business and technical teams to ensure clear and shared understanding ofrequirements.
  • Oversee the development and validate the functionality of the end-product as per therequirement specifications.
  • Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports.
  • Complete ownership of the end-to-end solution delivery to the business users.
  • Must work with the cross-functional teams and system partners.
  • Help QA and collaborate with the business user testing teams in creation of test plans and test cases.

As a PO

  • Prepare strategy and present ideas for stakeholders
  • Define the features of the product according to customer requirements
  • Lead the development process by creating a product roadmap based on the vision
  • Serving as main point of contact between teams and stakeholders
  • Organize and rank the items in the product backlog according to requirements

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Operations experience working in Capital Markets, Rates, FX Trade processing/settlements, Cash Management and payments domains and/or
  • Funds processing business domain with an emphasis on the following:
  • Knowledge of systems in the front office, middle or back office with aspects like Cash Management, Payments, Pricing, Confirmations, Settlements.
  • Familiarity of processing of asset pricing, FX rates interfacing vendor systems, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters.
  • Ability to analyse excel macros, formulae used and data formats.
  • Ability to understand the larger picture of the program, formulate the program and product delivery roadmaps.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong spoken and written communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and working with cross-functional teams from Business / Operations and Technology Testing & Development.
  • Proficient in MS Office, extensive experience in Excel for data analysis and JIRA for requirements elicitation and collaboration.
  • Familiarity / Understanding of microservices architecture.
