ETL DataStage Developer

Job description
Datastage Engineer- PL/SQL , Datastage, Unix scripting Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL code for various business applications. Design and implement ETL processes using IBM Datastage to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into target systems. Good implementation experience on various GCPs Data Storage and Processing services such as Big Query, Dataflow, Bigtable, Data form, Data fusion, Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL. Experience with any of the following Airflow, Dataflow, Cloud Run, DBT, and/or Pub Sub.
Experience with GCP native Big Query and/or Postgres.
Experience building out GCP data pipelines of Data fusion from scratch in a highly distributed and fault tolerant manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design efficient data integration solutions. Perform data analysis and profiling to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL process. Troubleshoot and debug issues related to PL/SQL scripts, Datastage jobs, and Unix shell scripts. Optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability, considering factors such as data volume and processing time. Develop and maintain documentation for PL/SQL scripts, Datastage jobs, and Unix scripts to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in PL/SQL development, Datastage, and Unix scripting to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data integration solutions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in PL/SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Hands-on experience with IBM Datastage ETL tool, including job design, development, and deployment. Proficiency in Unix shell scripting for automation and system administration tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques for PL/SQL scripts and ETL processes is a plus. Familiarity with database concepts and technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 is desirable.
