SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. – (December 7, 2020) – Virtusa Corporation (NASDAQ GS: VRTU), a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT services and solutions that help clients change and disrupt markets through innovation engineering, announced that it has achieved the AWS Outposts Ready designation as part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Service Ready Program. This designation recognizes that Virtusa’s FinOS, Open Innovation Platform, and vBank have demonstrated successful integration with AWS Outposts deployments. AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any data center, co-location space, or on-premises facility for a truly consistent hybrid experience.
Achieving the AWS Outposts Ready designation differentiates Virtusa as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with a product fully tested on AWS Outposts. AWS Outposts Ready products are generally available and supported for AWS customers with clear deployment documentation for AWS Outposts. AWS Service Ready Partners have demonstrated success building products integrated with AWS services, helping AWS customers evaluate and use their technology productively, at scale, and at varying levels of complexity.
One way Virtusa supports organizations’ cloud journeys is through the installation and integration of AWS Outposts with their current infrastructure and application landscape for a high-powered, regulatory compliant experience. Virtusa’s cloud-native solutions built to accelerate the hybrid cloud journey include:
“Virtusa’s cloud transformation approach goes beyond technology, factoring in impact on business operations, dependencies, and industry regulations,” said Raymond Hennings, EVP and head of global sales, alliances, and strategic deals, Virtusa. “Virtusa’s achievement of the AWS Outposts Ready designation validates the expertise within our innovation centers of excellence and AWS proficiency to increase the speed of refactoring applications to deploy AWS Outposts.”
“Financial services companies are modernizing their infrastructure solutions to deliver new and innovative customer experiences,” said Joshua Burgin, general manager, AWS Outposts, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “We are delighted to welcome Virtusa to the AWS Outposts Ready Program. Virtusa’s FinOS, Open Innovation Platform, and vBank can help customers build their applications using the same tools on AWS Outposts, in AWS Regions, and on customer-owned hardware for a truly consistent hybrid experience.”
To support the seamless integration and deployment of AWS Outposts ready solutions, AWS established the AWS Outposts Ready Program to help customers identify products integrated with AWS Outposts and spend less time evaluating new tools, and more time scaling their use of products that are integrated with AWS Outpost deployments.
