The Challenge

An American non-profit institute was using a legacy WordPress application that could not deliver personalized course recommendations to guide users through their professional career journeys. The system also could not appropriately utilize their collected data on user behavior and interests. As a result, the organization’s application provided a static experience for all user types and missed out on upselling and cross-selling opportunities for their other services.

The Solution

Virtusa helped the client rearchitect their existing WordPress application to a state-of-the-art cloud-based application with ReachJS (Frontend) and .NET (backend) to ease integration with existing systems.

  • Developed a recommendation engine using AI/MLOps to provide user recommendations based on their inputs and profile information.
  • Integrated with Cosmos DB, a key database for storing content
  • Developed QA automation using a framework based on .NET and Selenium tools.
